Nobody can deny the fact that the smart meters that monitor energy consumption on a regular basis will result in a revolutionary change in the energy industry. The major advantage of having an energy smart meter is that you can view it anytime you want and see your energy consumption. After that the decision rests with you; you either switch off some electrical appliances or keep increasing your carbon footprint.
